Monday’s PMA
Starting my week on a renewed and positive note always helps to bring me more enjoyment and be more productive. I used the reminder from Ken Blanchard’s webinar “Leading in Uncertain Times” and have consistently found time every day to meditate and pray. It helps clear out the negative thoughts I feel creeping in throughout the day.
A few things I thought of this morning as I spent some quiet time preparing for my day. I am thankful my husband is only bruised after a nasty fall over the weekend, I am thankful I continue to help job seekers as my business grows, and I am thankful to be part of an exciting event tomorrow.
On Tuesday, May 18 (tomorrow) WomenForHire.com and Good Morning America (GMA) are sponsoring a career fair in Detroit. It will be at Cobo Hall and will run from 6 am – 12 pm. Yes it’s early but will be well worth the loss of sleep for job seekers. Since GMA will be hosting their television program live from the career fair, the media hype is bringing in more employers and recruiters to scope out Michigan talent.
I have been asked to assist in providing resume reviews for job seekers during the morning’s activities. I look forward to helping as many job seekers as I can in the 6 hours I’ll be there. I’ve got a big sign so if you are there and you see my big, bulky sign – please stop and say Hi!! If you are a job seeker please take a drive down to Detroit for the fair.
Check out the site below to get a better feel for the companies that will be there looking for employees. Hope to see you there!

Try to make positive prayer, meditation, or visualization part of your daily routine. It doesn’t have to be hours, 10-15 minutes is all you need to get started. There are no exact ways or words. Just get quiet… listen… and wait expectantly.
Stay motivated in your job search – give it your all so at the end of the day you can be proud of your efforts regardless of the results.
Shine On!
